How To change The Email Address on Your iTunes Account/Apple ID

If you have recently changed/updated your email address, you may need to know how to change it in your iTunes account to update your Apple ID.
There are two methods you can use to update the email address, the first is through Your Apple ID, online and the second is within your iTunes account.

Through Manage My Apple ID

  • Go to My Apple ID – https://appleid.apple.com/
  • Select Manage Your Apple ID
  • You will need to sign in using your exisitng email address and password
  • Select “Edit” under the Apple ID and Primary Email address section.
  • This will then display a text box, you can now enter your new email address and click “Save”
  • You may have then been sent an email to your new address which you should check and follow the steps to verify the change of email address.

Within Your iTunes Account

  • Log into your iTunes account
  • Select the down arrow next to your name, on the right hand side
  • Select “Account Info”
  • Select “Edit” next your Apple ID name
  • You will then be taken to the next screen and have the opportunity to change your email address.
  • This must then be confirmed through typing in your password twice.
  • You may have then been sent an email to your new address which you should check and follow the steps to verify the change of email address.

Once your email address has been changed you should then log into your Apple account using the new address and exisiting password.
